## What is Convo?

Convo is a real-time AI sales assistant. It helps sales reps recognise buying signals, handle objections and ask the right questions while the conversation is happening.

The API gives your code what Convo keeps from each call: the transcript, key points, coaching feedback, a follow-up email and briefings on the people you meet. Use it to put that into your CRM, your reports or your own agents.

  <Card icon={<Blocks aria-hidden="true" />} title="Memory" description="Remembers each contact across calls and briefs you before the next one." />
  <Card icon={<ChartNoAxesCombined aria-hidden="true" />} title="Coaching" description="Scores each call on the moments that mattered, with a line to try next time." />
  <Card icon={<Plug aria-hidden="true" />} title="Follow-up" description="Drafts the follow-up email and sends call data to Zapier, Make, IFTTT or your own code." />

[Features](/features) describes the app. [Core Concepts](/core-concepts) describes the API's objects.

## From call to API

1. **Record.** The desktop app transcribes the call as it happens. No bot joins the meeting.
2. **Save.** When the call ends, the app saves it and sends `conversation.created`.
3. **Summarise.** The app generates key points: topics, decisions and action items with owners. `conversation.keypoints.ready` follows.
4. **Use.** Read the call with the API, react to [webhooks](/webhooks), or ask your AI assistant about it through the [MCP server](/mcp).

## Base URL

```
https://www.itsconvo.com/api/v1
```

For example, to list your calls: `GET https://www.itsconvo.com/api/v1/conversations`. Every request needs an [API key](/authentication).

## Response format

A successful response puts its result in `data`. Paged lists also return `pagination`. An error response has an `error` object with `code` and `message` ([Error Codes](/errors)).

<Tabs items={["Success", "Error"]}>
<Tab value="Success">
```json
{ "data": { ... } }
```
</Tab>
<Tab value="Error">
```json
{ "error": { "code": "not_found", "message": "Conversation not found" } }
```
</Tab>
</Tabs>

<Callout>
The API is versioned at `v1`. New fields can appear without a new version, so ignore keys you don't know. Breaking changes come only in a new version, with 90 days' notice.
